Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwa-l-ḥayyu-l-qayyūm. Lā ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa lā nawm…
Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi in the morning is protected from jinn until evening, and in the evening until morning. (Authenticated by al-Ḥākim and agreed upon by al-Dhahabī.)
Qul huwa-llāhu aḥad · Qul aʿūdhu bi-rabbi-l-falaq · Qul aʿūdhu bi-rabbi-n-nās
Surah al-Ikhlāṣ (112) + Surah al-Falaq (113) + Surah an-Nās (114), recited in full, three times each.
The Prophet ﷺ said: Recite these three each morning and evening three times — they will suffice you from everything.
Allāhumma anta rabbī lā ilāha illā anta, khalaqtanī wa anā ʿabduka, wa anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa waʿdika mā-staṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abū'u laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayy, wa abū'u bi-dhanbī fa-ghfir lī, fa-innahu lā yaghfiru-dh-dhunūba illā ant.
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no deity but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I am upon Your covenant and Your promise to the best of my ability. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me — for none forgives sins but You.
The Master of Seeking Forgiveness. Whoever says it in the morning with certainty and dies that day before evening is among the people of Paradise; and whoever says it in the evening with certainty and dies that night is among the people of Paradise.
Bismi-llāhi-lladhī lā yaḍurru maʿa-smihi shay'un fī-l-arḍi wa lā fī-s-samā', wa huwa-s-samīʿu-l-ʿalīm.
In the name of Allah — with whose name nothing on earth nor in the heavens can cause harm; and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Whoever says this three times each morning and evening, nothing will harm him.
Raḍītu bi-llāhi rabban, wa bi-l-islāmi dīnan, wa bi-Muḥammadin ṣallā-llāhu ʿalayhi wa sallama nabiyyā.
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad ﷺ as my Prophet.
Allah has pledged that whoever says this morning and evening, it becomes incumbent upon Allah to please that servant on the Day of Resurrection.
Aṣbaḥnā wa aṣbaḥa-l-mulku li-llāh, wa-l-ḥamdu li-llāh, lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamd, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay'in qadīr. Rabbi as'aluka khayra mā fī hādhā-l-yawm wa khayra mā baʿdah, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā fī hādhā-l-yawm wa sharri mā baʿdah. Rabbi aʿūdhu bika mina-l-kasali wa sū'i-l-kibar. Rabbi aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābin fī-n-nāri wa ʿadhābin fī-l-qabr.
We have entered the morning, and the whole kingdom belongs to Allah. Praise is to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good of what follows it, and I take refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what follows. My Lord, I take refuge in You from laziness and the misery of old age. My Lord, I take refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.
Allāhumma bika aṣbaḥnā, wa bika amsaynā, wa bika naḥyā, wa bika namūt, wa ilayka-n-nushūr.
O Allah, by You we enter the morning, and by You we enter the evening; by You we live, and by You we die — and to You is the resurrection.
Allāhumma ʿāfinī fī badanī, Allāhumma ʿāfinī fī samʿī, Allāhumma ʿāfinī fī baṣarī, lā ilāha illā ant. Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina-l-kufri wa-l-faqr, wa aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābi-l-qabr, lā ilāha illā ant.
O Allah, grant my body well-being. O Allah, grant my hearing well-being. O Allah, grant my sight well-being. There is no god but You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty; and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You.
Subḥāna-llāhi wa bi-ḥamdih.
Glory be to Allah, and all praise is for Him.
Whoever says it 100 times in a day — his sins are forgiven even if they were like the foam of the sea.
Lā ilāha illā-llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamd, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay'in qadīr.
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent.
Whoever says it 100 times in a day earns the reward of freeing 10 slaves, has 100 good deeds written for him, has 100 bad deeds erased, and is protected from Shayṭān that day until evening.
Astaghfiru-llāha wa atūbu ilayh.
I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I turn to Him in repentance.
The Prophet ﷺ said: By Allah, I seek Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times each day.
Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā nabiyyinā Muḥammad.
O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.
Whoever sends blessings upon me ten times in the morning and ten times in the evening will attain my intercession on the Day of Resurrection.
