Light & Gratitude

A few quiet words of thanks — to everyone whose intention is in these pages.

Some things begin quietly — a passing thought, a gentle feeling, a small light before anything becomes real.

Sometimes that light becomes something people benefit from long after the moment itself has passed.

This project began with one of those lights.

May Allah reward every heart, every hand, and every sincere intention that helped bring it into existence.

To everyone who helped

Dhikr was built with the hope of spreading beneficial knowledge, remembrance of Allah, and authentic Islamic learning — freely, sincerely, and without barriers.

No ads. No tracking. No paywalls between people and the words of Allah.

If even one person remembers Allah more because of this site, reads one verse with reflection, learns one authentic hadith, or makes one sincere du'a — then we ask Allah to place the reward in the scales of everyone who contributed to it.

Not just the builders. Everyone.

  • The people who gave honest feedback.
  • The people who tested broken versions late at night.
  • The people who fixed small mistakes quietly.
  • The people who shared verses, hadith, and beneficial reminders.
  • The people who translated, reviewed, designed, developed, researched, and taught.
  • The people who encouraged the idea before it existed.
  • The people who made du'a for it without us ever knowing.
  • Every visitor who benefits from it and shares it with someone else.

May Allah accept it from all of them as sadaqah jariyah, and write its reward in their record long after we are gone.

Why it will remain free, forever

Dhikr is not built to maximise profit, attention, or addiction. It exists as a small act of khidmah — service to the Ummah.

The words of Allah should not sit behind subscriptions. Authentic remembrance should not have to compete with advertisements.

This project will remain free, ad-free, and accessible to anyone with an internet connection, in shā Allāh.

If this site benefits you, the only thing we ask in return is a quiet du'a — for our parents, our families, our teachers, and everyone who helped bring this work to life. That is more valuable than anything else we could ever ask for.

Some of the best ideas began as simple questions.
